Former Hyatt executive Victor Lopez is looking for a silver lining to the region’s falling tourist numbers. Lopez, now a partner at Caribbean Resort Advisors, is part of a growing corps of turnaround specialists who supervise management companies dealing with struggling hotel properties. In South Beach, Jessica Goldman-Srebnick hopes to expand her family’s hotel portfolio by for the first time running a hotel her family doesn’t own. The company her father, Tony, started 40 years ago, Goldman Properties, has launched a management arm targeting competitors along Ocean Drive and elsewhere.
