CBRE profits plunge

CB Richard Ellis Group Inc., South Florida’s largest real estate brokerage, reported its profit dropped 78.5 percent in 2008 following one-time charges. Los Angeles-based CBRE posted earnings of 39 cents a share on revenues of $5.13 billion. In 2007, the company earned $1.66 a share, on revenues of $6.03 billion. Revenue dropped almost 17 percent to $5.1 billion. The company has 118 brokers and five offices in South Florida.
