Circuit City
received approval on Friday to auction leases, or break them, for its
remaining 567 properties across the country, which include stores, its
corporate headquarters and distribution centers. The stores
are expected to close after March. Circuit City, the nation’s
second-largest consumer electronics retailer, announced last month that
it would liquidate its stores and cut about 34,000 jobs.
