S. Florida foreclosure filings fall in January

Foreclosure filings in South Florida fell 12 percent in January, according to a report by Default Research, which provides listings of properties in default. The report found that the drop in filings was greatest in Miami-Dade County at 22 percent, with Palm Beach County seeing the next highest drop at 15 percent. In Broward County, the number of foreclosure filings decreased by only 4 percent.
