Mortgage audit firm investigates illegal Deutsche Bank foreclosures

Boynton Beach-based MFI-Miami, a mortgage audit and fraud
investigation firm, is investigating illegal foreclosures by Deutsche
Bank in multiple states, the firm announced this week. The bank is the
trustee in nearly 50 percent of the fraud investigations the firm has
done in the past six months, said Stephen Dibert, MFI-Miami’s
president. Deutsche Bank has refused to produce the original note and
mortgage, which it has purchased in a mortgage pool, in most of those
