Fort Lauderdale to take housing applications by mail

After fights broke out in a line for Section 8 housing vouchers at the
Fort Lauderdale Housing Authority last weekend,
the Housing Authority announced today that it will take the next round
of affordable housing applications by mail only. Housing applications
will be published next Thursday in several local newspapers.
Applications must be postmarked by March 12, and voucher recipients
will be selected in a drawing on March 25.
