New Lauderdale mayor wants development revamp

Jack Seiler, Fort Lauderdale’s mayor-elect, wants to reconsider development regulations throughout the city. He said land regulations are a dozen years old — a lifetime in Florida real estate — and need to be redone. He wants more development around 13th Street and called for curbs on the boom-time building that saw a proliferation of McMansions in more developed areas. His goal: a development map for the city’s next 100 years.
