Business park signs 50 leases in 2008
Miramar Park of Commerce signed 50 leases for more than one million square feet of space during 2008, according to a statement released this week. The leases are valued at more than $40 million, and the park had a positive absorption of 178,000 square feet for 2008, compared to Miami-Dade County’s negative absorption of 3,388,000 square feet last year. More than 150 companies have space in the Miramar Park of Commerce, including American Express, Neiman Marcus, Sears and Nissan.

Mack Lane negotiates lease
Mack Lane Real Estate, a commercial and residential brokerage, recently signed a three-year lease for Class A office space for Fox Pan American Sports, a sports programming and Spanish sports cable network company, at Heron Bay I in Coral Springs. The lease is for 5,167 square feet in the 11575 Heron Bay Boulevard building. The asking rent in the building is $22 per square foot.

Office tower sells for $2.85M
Weston Tower Center Executive Suites, an office center in Weston, recently sold for $2.85 million, according to a statement from Marcus & Millichap, which represented the seller, a private investor. The 9,547-square-foot building at 1825 Main Street was purchased by a New Jersey-based company. TRD
