Ballet Florida sues over real estate deal

Ballet Florida filed suit yesterday in Palm Beach County Circuit Court against Worth Realty and its owner, Barbara Marulli. The suit claims that Worth Realty did not find a buyer for Ballet Florida’s West Palm Beach building and interfered with the ballet’s efforts to sell the building to the City of West Palm Beach. The city backed out of the deal after Worth Realty requested a $185,000 commission. Financially struggling Ballet Florida canceled the rest of its 2008-2009 season last week.
