Miami arena to be first with green certification

Miami’s American Airlines Arena will be the first arena in the country to meet LEED green building standards. These standards apply to water savings, energy efficiency, the materials used for construction and other aspects of the building. Miami Mayor Manny Diaz was slated to announce the certification at a press conference today.
