Nine out of ten homes listed for sale in South Florida are foreclosed or short sale properties, according to Judy Friedmar of Pembroke Pines-based Real Data. Between March 1, 2008, and March 1 of this year, 22,072 single-family homes and condominiums were for sale in Broward County, and 19,869 of the homeowners had less than 10 percent equity, a sign that they were underwater on their homes, Friedmar said.
