Palm Beach County courts have cut the pace for summary judgments on foreclosure cases to seven every half hour from twice that rate. Chief Judge Jack Cook said the change isn’t due to a drop in foreclosures, but because court staff can’t process the paperwork from the earlier pace of 15 hearings every 30 minutes. Florida courts have set up so-called “rocket dockets” to handle the flood of foreclosures statewide.
