Developer charged with murder

Aventura resident Adam Kaufman faces murder charges in the death of his
wife in their home. Police yesterday arrested Kaufman, 36, claiming he
strangled his wife, Elanora “Lina” Kaufman in 2006. He claimed she fell
and damaged her neck on a towel rack. Kaufman, a former high school
teacher turned condo developer, is senior vice president of Global
Marketing Group, which claims a string of successful luxury condo-hotel
developments from Chicago to South Beach. Adam Kaufman’s uncle, Jerry
Kaufman, runs the company. He’s a former chairman of the Florida Home
Builders Association.
