There are fewer homes for sale in the county than there were two years ago, though older neighborhoods are in better shape, market watchers say. Fairmont Place, an over-55 community west of Boynton Beach built in the 1980s, has no houses for sale in its 192 units. But at Versailles in Wellington, nearly 20 percent of the 450 homes are on the market, according to Multiple Listing Service data. Curtis Lowe, president of the Realtors Association of St. Lucie County, said there’s a similar pattern there.
