Creditors can continue their suit against bankrupt condo converter Juan Puig, a federal bankruptcy judge ruled Wednesday. U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Robert Mark dismissed a few of the charges against Puig, but charges that friendly bank loan officers made bad loans to sustain the company, and accepted thousands of dollars worth of gifts from Puig’s companies. Puig Inc. and Puig himself filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in summer 2007, one of the first signs of the market crash to come.
