Al Trafford, who recently gave up daily control of the company that bears his family name, says booms and busts are part of the cycle of Florida real estate. He should know, after 71 years with Trafford Realty, Brevard County’s oldest real estate firm, which his father founded in 1917. Trafford turned over the president’s title and day-to-day control of the company to long-time executive vice president and general manager Terry Lolmaugh, though he continues to keep an office at the company’s landmark Cocoa Village headquarters. He still goes to the office every day.
