The plan for East Banyan Estates, a proposed 27-home development on the former Boca Raton Executive Golf Course in the northeast part of the city, was withdrawn for redrafting. Planning & Zoning Director Julia Trevarthen had urged the board to reject the plan based on its layout and types of houses. The old course was the site of another battle with residents of the nearby Hidden Valley neighborhood, and another developer pulled plans to build on the course in February 2008.
