Construction on Miami’s Brickell Financial Center has continued in the face of rumors that work on the 601,000-square-foot office tower has halted. The last crane is coming down and the building’s exterior curtain wall system will be installed soon, said officials at developer Foram Group. The building topped off in early February and is still slated to be completed in the second or third quarter of 2010. Prelease tenant Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod, a law firm, canceled its $58 million deal for 115,000 square feet in the building in mid-February.
