Royal Poinciana owners get leeway

Property owners at the storied Palm Beach shopping center could have more latitude to redo their buildings after the Town Council approved hiring a consultant to draft new design guidelines for the area. John Page, director of the Planning, Zoning and Building Department, said that could include wider sidewalks, more landscaping, underground parking and architectural features including fountains, arches and balconies.
