Disgraced former Palm Beach County commissioner Mary McCarty is angling for a one-year, one-day sentence for conspiring to commit honest services fraud. McCarty and two other former commissioners were found guilty of corruption charges related to Delray Beach-based Ocean Properties’ bid for a convention center. Prosecutors are seeking a five-year sentence like the ones given to former Commissioners Tony Masilotti and Warren Newell.
