Housing could shape state house race

The state’s housing crisis will figure prominently in the campaign to succeed Governor Charlie Crist as he leaves office to run for the U.S. Senate. State Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink, a Democrat, will face off against Attorney General Bill McCollum, a Republican. Both have ties to the mortgage and development industries and their records provide ample fodder for campaign critics.
