South Florida real estate firms catering to the luxury property bracket want to save their clients time and money by offering a bird’s eye view of mansions on the market. The Skywater Estates brokerage rents a helicopter six or seven times a year, touring area mansions in a third of the time it would take to visit properties on the ground. Richard Barkett, chief executive of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale, said the full-service approach is vital in a weak market. Some agents with clients seeking waterfront properties will take them on boat tours to offer a unique perspective.
