Developer Adam Kaufman, 36, of Aventura will remain behind bars until he stands trial for second-degree murder in the slaying of his wife, Eleonora “Lina” Kaufman, 33. He was arrested in April and charged with her murder after her body was found in the bathroom of the family home. Miami-Dade Medical Examiner Bruce A. Hyma called the death a homicide by mechanical asphyxiation. Adam Kaufman’s lawyer previously argued that accidental poisoning from a spray tan could have contributed to her death.
