McCarty gets high-rise prison cell

Mary McCarty, the imprisoned former Palm Beach County Commissioner, was moved from Palm Beach County lockup to Miami’s Federal Detention Center, a downtown skyscraper prison once home to former Panama drug-dealing dictator Manuel Noriega and accused dirty bomber Jose Padilla. She is serving a three-and-a-half-year sentence for theft of honest services after a corruption scandal over developing a county convention center and hotel.
