The South Palm Beach Planning Board this week turned down a proposal to change the comprehensive development plan for the Palm Beach Oceanfront Inn at 3550 S. Ocean Boulevard. The building owners did not present any alternative site plan, but if the board approved the change, it would allow the building owners to increase the number of units in the hotel and the height of the building. The board turned down the plan 3-2, saying that it was not specific enough. The town council will consider the proposal at its meeting next week.
