Low bridge bars Little Lake Worth houseboats

Palm Beach County Commissioners declined to raise the height of a bridge over Little Lake Worth from eight to 12 feet, effectively keeping houseboats from moving in. Commissioners who voted for the ban said Little Lake Worth doesn’t get enough movement to flush its waters and keep it in healthy circulation, making even small amounts of personal waste discharge a particularly acute health hazard.
