A report by Coral Gables-based Bauer Financial said the first quarter of 2009 ended with most large regional credit unions in sound financial shape. Federal bank regulatory data showed that six of the 10 largest credit unions had superior ratings, meaning their bad loan ratios and capital ratios were on solid footing.
