Wellington Green mall seeks rescue tenant

The Shoppes of Wellington Green are in negotiations to find tenants to fill 68,000 square feet leased to failed retailers Linens ‘n Things and Circuit City. Owner Schmier & Feurring Properties of Boca Raton is now in default on the property, which still houses Barnes & Noble and Starbucks. Owner Bob Schmier said that the outlets were profitable but the parent companies had bigger problems. He said he’s had interest from other prospective tenants.
