Miami may get taxable value hike

New construction in downtown Miami may make the city’s Downtown Development Authority the only county agency to show an increase in taxable property value. It won’t lower rates, although its taxable base rose 7.4 percent in 2008. Executive Director Alyce Robertson said its proceeds will be reinvested into the economy.
