Facing eviction, woman kills self, authorities say

A Tamarac woman facing eviction from her home apparently shot herself as the house was surrounded by a Broward Sheriff’s SWAT team after she barricaded herself inside. Her name was not released by police. Bank officials and a moving van were also at the house in the 6900 block of Northwest 79th Street.
