Retailers shuffle space in slipping economy

Ask Sherry Frankel, and it’s just another season of Worth Avenue’s musical stores. At least three stores are changing spaces, and the president of the Worth Avenue Association says the most important thing to note, even in an increasingly bleak economy, is that whether they are entering the market, expanding or contracting, they are choosing either to open or remain in Palm Beach. Home furnishings store Walter Zabriskie has moved to antiques dealer Letitia Lundeen’s space, who, in turn, will head for retailer Richard Plumer Design. Closing the circle, Plumer will move into Lundeen’s old space.
