Analyst says housing bottom will come in six months

As the housing market is weaned off government programs that served as stimuli for the past several months, Stephen Kim, a homebuilder analyst at Alpine Woods Capital Investors, told CNBC that we will see a negative impact on the market. But, he said, we should expect to bottom out within six months, as more distressed sellers enter the market. Once we reach the bottom, Kim said, lingering problems may keep the market from swinging upward again quickly, but stocks will improve.
