James Patterson buys Palm Beach mansion

Crime and mystery writer James Patterson paid $17.14 million for a landmark house at 710 S. Ocean Boulevard. The former owner, Atlanta developer Charles Roberts, confirmed the sale. It’s a 21,353-square-foot house that sits on 1.95 acres overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The house next door, 720 Ocean Boulevard, was bought by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1979. Ono sold it in the mid-1980s.
