The pace of foreclosure filings in South Florida could give the region 100,000 defaults by the end of the year. Through June 30, lenders have filed more than 52,000 foreclosure actions in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, real estate consultancy Condo Vultures reported. That’s a 35 percent jump from the first six months of the previous year. Foreclosure filings are coming in at a rate of nearly 2,200 per week.
