Ben Novack, known in his younger days as the “Prince of the Fontainebleau” and slain last week in a suburban New York hotel, claimed seven years ago that his wife attempted to have him killed in home invasion-style robbery. Court documents in his divorce petition, which he later withdrew,  allude to the incident, but Gregory Austin, chief of police in Rye Brook, N.Y, which is investigating Novack’s murder, said Narcy Novack is not a suspect in her husband’s death. Police have called his death “targeted.”
