Receivers allowed for condos

An appellate court will allow receivers to collect rent on delinquent condo associations. The state’s Third District Court approved the use of blanket receivership practices that will allow court-appointed receivers to take rent directly from tenants when the units they are renting are in foreclosure. The practice has been used by 18 condo associations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
