Boca mall modification approved

Town Center at Boca Raton mall got permission from the Planning and Zoning Board to modify the site plan for the renovation of the Glades Road shopping site. The renovation began in 2006. The City Council must now approve the final plan. Mall owner Simon Property wants to expand some of the small retail shops on the second floor in the area above and behind the food court and Waldenbooks. In 2006, it got permission to add 202,538 square feet of commercial space to the footprint which, at the time, measured about a million square feet.
