Area properties hit with foreclosure suits

A spate of foreclosure suits are working their way through area courts. FirstBank Puerto Rico filed a $2.6 million foreclosure lawsuit against West Miami Properties, the owner of a commercial site in West Miami, and managing members Rafael Rosado, Leocadia E. Rosado and Rogert De Leon. Tenant Rose Banquet Hall is also named. Banif Finance (USA) Corp. has filed a foreclosure action against Hallandale Beach-based Parkland 441, Millennium 441 and managing members Ignacio Martinez, Rick Romash and Noel Epelboim, developers of an 11.2-acre piece of vacant commercial-zoned property in Parkland. Spanish bank Caja de Ahorros de Galicia, Caixa Galicia filed a foreclosure action against Merco Group at MGI Hotels, also known as Merco Group at GB Hotel, owners of the Coconut Grove Hotel, according to Miami-Dade County Circuit Court records.
