Door not closed on open houses

While it’s easier than ever to get a virtual look at properties for sale over the Internet, Florida brokers say there’s still no substitute for an up-close look around a house. While houses don’t often sell at these events, realtor Sharon Levine said they’re great for generating leads and pulling in impulse shoppers who may become clients. Jantina Getz, an owner of Coville Getz & Co. in Indialantic, prefers holding broker open houses, showcasing properties to other agents, rather than curious neighbors and people who can’t buy in that price range.
