The aging Miami Beach convention center may get some previously approved renovation money — a tidy $55 million — but that may not cover the whole cost. The renovation was first approved in 2001, and the release of some of the $55 million will go to the development of a master plan, whose results could easily list recommendations that surpass the current allocated funding, officials said.
