Economist: Florida real estate recovery coming

Demographics will pull Florida’s real estate sector out of its trough, according to economist David Denslow, a researcher at the University of Florida center for real estate studies. Speaking to real estate executives at an annual conference, he said the baby boomers’ retirement is a salvation for the Sunshine State. He sees that trend fueling state growth for the next 15 years, though many boomers must first recoup some of their wealth lost during the recession before they can sell homes and move south.
