Flippers return to South Florida

South Florida’s real estate market is bottoming out, as evidenced by the growing number of distressed property investors buying up foreclosed homes and turning them around for a quick profit. Market watchers say that flippers are playing a stabilizing role in the real estate cycle this time around, rather than elevating property prices in a bubble. Their repair efforts are putting houses back on the market for prices it can bear, not at wildly inflated totals that helped create the doomed inflationary spiral that collapsed in 2006.
