Ombudsman offers a boost for condo owners, board members

The Florida Office of the Condominium Ombudsman remains one of the best
and least-known resources for owners and board members who need answers
to laws and regulations that govern occupancy and association
governance. Bill Raphan, supervisor of the South Florida Ombudsman’s
office in Fort Lauderdale, said owners’ main questions center around
special assessments levied in times of financial stress and unit
owners’ ability to raise issues during board meetings.
