U.S. Senator Bill Nelson is asking the state legislature if there’s any federal money left to help home owners affected by tainted Chinese made drywall. He urged Florida lawmakers to adopt a similar approach to that of Louisiana, which set aside $5 million in Community Development Block Grants to assist people affected by the noxious smells and corrosion associated with the imported building products. Problems with Chinese drywall have been found in many states, but Florida and Louisiana are among those hardest hit. [Miami Herald]
