A Miami warehouse that restaurateur and event impresario Barton G. used to store linens and furniture caught fire Monday night, destroying millions of dollars worth of goods. The company is slated to open a new restaurant, Prelude by Barton G. in Miami on Friday. Fire officials said it took almost two hours to get control of the flames, which collapsed the roof at 400 NE 67th Street. Miami Fire-Rescue spokesman Ignatius Carroll said the blaze erupted at approximately 8:40 p.m., and no one was inside the warehouse at the time. [Sun Sentinel]
