An oceanfront Delray Beach mansion belonging to Helmut Kiener, the K1 Group hedge fund founder under arrest in Germany on suspicion of fraud, is for sale by a Cayman Islands liquidator for $23 million. The three-story Georgian home features several chandeliers — including one above an oval bathtub, a two-story wood-paneled library and “exotic marble and onyx throughout,” according to the home’s listing on the Web site of Premier Estate Properties. Proceeds from the sale would be used to repay defrauded investors, sources said.

Investment manager David Dreman and his wife, Holly, have purchased the five-bedroom Georgian-style lakefront home at 1072 North Lake Way for $11.9 million, according to Palm Beach property records. The seller was Felice Forman, whose family has extensive development and real estate holdings in Florida. It was listed for $14.9 million.

The landmarked home of the late Wynne “Didi” Ballinger, founder of the Horticulture Society of South Florida, is now under contract. The Mediterranean Revival-style property at 235 Banyan Road features a three-story main house with five bedrooms, and water views, and a two-bedroom guest house. It was listed at $11.9 million with Sotheby’s International Realty, and the sale price will be disclosed at the November closing. TRD
