WCI unloads Pompano Beach property

Financially battered WCI Communities has sold its Pompano Beach Oceanside property, including a 17-story luxury condominium, for $38.5 million, the company announced yesterday. The buyers were Ari Pearl, a Hollywood developer, and his investment partner the Chetrit Group, who will also get an adjacent oceanfront plot of land.
