After nine years of development, Forest City Commercial Development announced the first phase
of mixed-use retail and entertainment center, the Village at Gulfstream
Park
, is now just 60 days away from its opening, slated for Feb. 11. Most of the
big tenants at the Hallandale Beach racetrack retail center are
home-related or restaurants, with retail tenants occupying a small
amount of space. Restaurants at the retail park vary from Brazilian
steakhouse Texas de Brazil to Italian restaurant Brio Tuscan Grille, and
Cuban restaurant Ola Cuba. Popular home stores at the shopping mecca
include the Container Store, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, West Elm,
and Crate & Barrel. In addition, an upscale nightclub called MI-VI
is scheduled to open Dec. 26 on Gulfstream Park’s second floor. [Miami Herald]
