The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America will storm West
Palm Beach on Feb. 25 for a blitz of foreclosure assistance in a bid
to help area homeowners ease the strain of unaffordable mortgage
payments. Based on its track record, NACA can often arrange reduced
payments for its clients in a hurry, thanks to arrangements it has
with many established mortgage lenders. Banks that don’t get with the Boston-based nonprofit
have found their executives’ photos posted on the website with the
phrase financial predator superimposed over their mug shots. The West
Palm Beach event, which will be preceded by several workshops to get
homeowners ready for the session, is the first 24-hour event the group
has staged. [Palm Beach Post] and [Sun Sentinel]
