Single women making waves in home building market

With single women making up one quarter of today’s homebuyers, builders have been reading up on what women want to try to capture that market share as the economy improves, SmartMoney reported. Among the designs they’ve come up with so far: built-in hair dryer outlets and hidden magazine drawers in bathrooms and gift-wrapping stations in cabinets. Evidently, the female-inspired designs have men hankering for their own versions, and the backlash has created something of a battle of the sexes in home building: kegerators, pool tables and large television screens are some of the features built into the so-called “man-caves” that are popping up in new homes.
